Minister Sakari Puisto Visits Vaski to Advance Dialogue on Scaling Export Driven Industrial Companies

On 20.1.2026, Vaski welcomed Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto and a delegation from the Ministry to its facilities in Seinäjoki, Finland. The visit was part of a broader effort by the Ministry to deepen its understanding of how export oriented small and medium sized manufacturing companies can be supported in their transition into globally competitive large industrial entities.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to Vaski’s operations, technology development and ongoing investment plans. Discussions focused on the practical requirements for scaling export driven manufacturing businesses including access to growth capital, availability of skilled labour, tools available to support growth and the ability to retain advanced engineering and production capabilities in Finland while competing in global markets.

Vaski has experienced rapid and profitable growth in recent years through continuous innovation and customer focused system solutions. The group’s revenue is estimated to exceed €50 million in 2025 and the company employs approximately 270 people across engineering, manufacturing and international operations of which close to 150 persons are based in Finland. This development reflects strong global demand for efficient and sustainable metal processing technologies and illustrates how Finnish industrial SMEs can successfully scale into international markets.

The visit highlighted the importance of direct dialogue between policymakers and export oriented manufacturers in building an environment that supports long term industrial growth, competitiveness and value creation in Finland. Vaski values the open and constructive discussions and looks forward to continued cooperation that supports the scaling of export driven Finnish industry, technological leadership and high quality employment.
